Location
Featuring a restaurant and a luggage room, the comfortable 3-star Hotel Ristorante Amitrano Pompei is located approximately 5 minutes on foot from the Amphitheater. Thanks to its convenient location, this Pompei hotel is only 1.6 km from the 1st-century BC Temple of Venus, which guests can visit to explore the history of the area.
The hotel is about 10 minutes on foot from House of the Vettii Casa dei Vettii and around a 15-minute ride from the Pompeii Archaeological Park. The Amitrano Pompei is also within a few blocks of such natural sights as the Garden of the Fugitives. Guests might as well visit Giardini di Piazza Schettini, which is just 450 metres away. The ancient roman arena "Amphitheatre of Pompeii" is located nearly 20 minutes on foot from the accommodation. You can catch the bus at Pompei Piazza Anfiteatro bus stop, within reach of the Amitrano.
Offering a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, the 29 rooms come with air conditioning to ensure a comfortable stay. There is also a private bathroom. Nice touches include a bidet, a separate toilet, and a shower, along with a shower cap and bath sheets.
Hotel Ristorante Amitrano offers its own à la carte restaurant, where guests can try Italian dishes. You can get a gastronomic experience at Casa Gallo which offers healthy cuisine just around the corner from this Pompei hotel.
Review by hotel critic
During my recent holiday at Hotel Ristorante Amitrano, I was enchanted by its prime location, just a stone's throw from both the Pompei Ruins and the train station, making it a perfect base for exploring the rich cultural tapestry of this historic region. The room was impeccably clean and air-conditioned, featuring a comfortable setting enhanced by free Wi-Fi and essential amenities, all of which catered well to me and my travel companions. What truly distinguished this charming establishment was the delightful service; the young man on staff exuded a warm hospitality, while the reception lady was genuine, despite the noticeable influence of the older owner. Each morning commenced with a sweet, Italian buffet breakfast, vividly capturing the essence of local flavors, which is so crucial for any art historian like myself who appreciates the connection of food to culture. A special highlight was the hotel's partnership with a nearby outdoor swimming pool, offering a refreshing retreat after a day spent soaking in the artistry and history that surrounds Pompei.
